Elanders in Italy
Elanders Italy is a newly established document and distribution centre situated in Treviso. The company is, among other things, a sales company for Elanders in Hungary on the Italian market. The Hungarian printing plant produces large quantities of editions, while smaller editions (usually 20 to 500 copies) can be produced on site. The equipment is the latest in digital printing technology.
The largest customer is currently Electrolux, with the brands Husqvarna, Zanussi and AEG. More than 600 different types of manuals can be produced at short notice and with just-in-time deliveries. The production involves instruction manuals for freezers, refrigerators, ovens, dish washers, washing machines and dryers.
During 2007 Elanders Italy delivered manuals to ten Electrolux factories (five in Italy, two in Hungary and one respectively in Romania, Sweden and Switzerland). During 2008 it will also make deliveries to four factories in Poland, and to one in Germany, Russia and Spain, as well as a new factory in Sweden.
In some cases the work requires extensive hand finishing, a personal touch and manual work. Elanders Italy’s strengths are its extremely short lead times and flexibility.
The work force has an international character to it. At the moment there are employees from Senegal, Brazil, Romania, Albania, Australia, Finland, the Dominican Republic, Hungary, and of course Italy. The collaboration of the many cultures makes the company a miniature Elanders Group.
Daily work focuses on raising the quality a notch to an absolute top level, while plans for the future are concentrated on acquiring new customers and thereby increasing the company’s presence on the Italian market.
