Magazines – Special services for publishers

In a longstanding partnership with many publishers, Elanders has undertaken comprehensive offers that seamlessly blended efficiency with printing excellence. With our multiple in-house printing technologies, we can offer the right technology for every unique project, which will benefit from attractive prices. High-volume magazines are produced with rotary printing. We have web heatset offset presses for all titles printed with the best quality in full colour, while for black-and-white titles in high quantities, we have web coldset offset presses. For the titles with medium quantities or very special technical specifications, we also offer sheet-fed printing.

Rotary printing for high volumes
Given the high demand for the publications from our clients, utilising web offset printing is instrumental. This technology makes swift and cost-effective production possible, ensuring that significant print runs are executed with high speed and consistency.

Exquisite cover with special finishes
Currently, the pivotal element of any publication lies in its cover, enabling the title to stand out amidst a multitude of competing options on store shelves. Crafted with meticulous care, the covers feature special finishes and enhancements that elevate their aesthetic appeal. The choice of paper complements the design, ensuring a harmonious blend of tactile satisfaction and visual allure.

We offer foil lamination (gloss, matt, soft touch), full or spot UV varnish, hot stamping, embossing – whatever the client would like to use to make the title unique.

Flexibility in cooperation
Elanders understands publishers’ needs and their way of acting. We are aware that advertisements are collected until the last minute, so sometimes there may be delays in delivering the files. We are in the process of rebuilding our production plans to suit this new timing paradigm. We can do this because we also have a user manuals business and we are responsible for stock management, so we are able to print them ahead of time. It makes us flexible for publishers.

Subscriber-centric fulfilment
A key aspect of cooperation with publishers is the fulfilment process. A portion of the publication run is prepared for mailing, based on a subscriber list. Each copy is automatically individually foiled in black or transparent film according to the clients’ request, addressed, and then delivered to the post office or some distribution centre. To optimise distribution, a dual approach is implemented. The individually foliated and labelled copies are dispatched directly to subscribers via postal services. Simultaneously, the remaining inventory is efficiently distributed to various distributors, ensuring that the publications reached a wide audience across diverse channels.

Conclusion
The collaboration with our esteemed publishing partners exemplifies Elanders’ commitment to excellence in printing and logistics. From high-volume web offset printing to subscriber-centric fulfilment and efficient distribution, these projects showcase our ability to be a reliable partner for publishing houses.
