In line with Elanders' strategy to continue to make packaging a larger part of
total sales Elanders has acquired all the shares in the label printing company
McNaughtan's Printers Limited ("McNaughtan's") in Glasgow, Scotland. The company
is particularly niched towards the whisky trade and a number of well known
whisky distilleries are customers. For many producers their label is a crucial
part of packaging and therefore labels and packaging are normally purchased from
the same source. This means that with this acquisition Elanders broadens its
offer in packaging and gains new customers in the growing whisky trade in
Scotland as well.
During the split financial year 2011/2012 McNaughtan's had net sales of around
MSEK 20 and 14 employees. The company is expected to contribute positively to
consolidated results already in 2013.
