In addition to ESG, Elanders continues to use the UN global goals for sustainable development as guidance in identifying the business’ impact.

In 2023, Elanders joined the UN Global Compact which, based on the global goals, has drawn up ten principles that pertain to human rights, labor laws, the environment and anti-corruption. In order to increase transparency and raise the quality of the Group’s environmental and climate data, emission calculations and data compilation are based on and supported by the GHG Protocol. The GHG Protocol stands for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and is a global standard that can aid in reporting on greenhouse gas emissions.

In 2022, the Group also reported to Carbon Disclosure Project (“CDP”) for the first time. It is a not-for-profit organization that helps investors, companies, cities, countries and regions with climate and environmental impact charting and disclosure.
